The Spectre’s Bride

Antonín Dvorák‘s OP. 69

Dramatic canata to words by Karel Jaromir Erben | 60 Min.

Based on a Bohemian legend it tells the story of a young woman who falls in love with a mysterious man. When she follows him, she finds herself alone and lost, surrounded by the eerie night in a curse.

Several visitors had tears in their eyes – Anne Löper’s performance managed to touch 300 guests and distil images out of music that no other art form would have been able to create in the same way. An overwhelming experience – thank you Anne Löper!

The seven last words of the creator on the cross

A powerful visual and musical devotion | 60 min.

The sacred alchemy of the human and the divine is illustrated in classical and impressive images of earth, heaven and everything in between. With texts such as „Father, into your hands I commend my spirit“, music by Joseph Haydn and Robert Schumann’s 3rd Symphony „Die Rheinische“, the images become effervescent, unique moments.

Out of overwhelm it is only now that I am able to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outstanding sandpainting artistry of the concert. However, the two-week „delay“ had the extremely pleasant side effect of making me realize that my enthusiasm for the overall work of art has by no means diminished in the meantime – on the contrary.

GENESIS –

I do not paint in sand, I just free the light

Multidimensional live performance of sand painting, music and poetry | 75 min.

Experience the great themes of the Bible in a subtle yet humorous way. Selected texts from the Old and New Testaments are brought to life in a surprising way. Sandillustrations based on the Old Masters, such as Da Vinci’s Last Supper or Brueghel’s Tower of Babel, create unusual perspectives on the biblical texts.

This morning my eyes fell on the clear, bright blue morning sky, the first daylight and my first thought was the opening image of yesterday’s sand performance… then came the first clouds, like yesterday the first sand formations ….

I am still touched & thrilled & so happy, I am still happy. It was a very special performance and more than beautiful.

It’s a big thing what you manifest, what you carry within you,

what you make visible for us …

… so deep … and so true … All love.
